REMINDER: THE CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE

REMINDER: THE CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE

The Bishop Gallery proudly announces its upcoming group exhibition, “Reminder: The Children Are Our Future”. This timely and heartfelt exhibition gathers a powerful roster of artists whose works reflect a universal truth: the well-being of our children determines the destiny of our world.

Born from the recognition that innocent children continue to suffer from the consequences of conflict, inequality, and division, “Reminder” invites audiences to pause and reflect on our shared responsibility to protect and uplift the next generation. Whether addressing the devastation of war, the impact of displacement, or the emotional toll of societal neglect, the exhibition insists that hope and innocence must remain sacred — and that by centering children in our choices today, we shape a brighter, more compassionate tomorrow.

Featuring works by Basheer Allen (Kid Balloon), Trap Bob, Destiny Branay, Julia Chon, Kathrine Campagna, Roxanne Christie, Barron Claiborne, Lynthia Edwards, Zeph Farmby, Dominique Fierro, Halim Flowers, Jerrell Gibbs, Serron Green, Eduardo Herrera Jacobs, Brandon Hill, Jabari Jefferson, Jeffrey Kent, Jules BE KUTI, Xavier Leopold, Lex Marie, Cheriss May, Alice Mizrachi, Blu Murphy, Rorisang Monanabela, Maggie O’Neil, Guy Stanley Philoche, Charles Jean-Pierre, Rapior, and Sophia Victor, the exhibition spans painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media to explore themes of hope, innocence, resilience, and empowerment.

GROUP EXHIBITION

The artists featured in “Reminder: The Children Are Our Future” bring together a spectrum of perspectives shaped by culture, community, and lived experience. Their practices—spanning painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media—reveal how emotion, imagination, and vulnerability intersect when we look at the world through the eyes of a child.

Some approach the subject with tenderness and reflection, others through urgency and protest. Collectively, their works form a visual dialogue about care, protection, and the fragile beauty of innocence.
